FAQ for COVID-19

SafeEntry is already implemented for Suntec City, do tenants within the building have to implement SafeEntry as well?

To support the government’s contact tracing efforts, it has been mandated that all workplaces have to implement their own SafeEntry QR / NRIC. This is on top of Suntec City’s SafeEntry QR at the entrances. Please see the list of premises https://www.safeentry.gov.sg/deployment which are required by law to implement SafeEntry.

What should I do if I have an employee who is unwell or has tested positive for COVID-19?

If an employee is unwell, please advise the employee to:

  • If symptoms started displaying whilst at home: stay at home, don't go to work. Seek medical attention immediately
  • If symptoms started displaying whilst in the office: seek immediate medical attention. There are 3 GPs in Suntec City. Masks have been deemed as mandatory, the employee can use the passenger lift to head to the doctors.
  • If employee is immobile/ unconscious: This is a medical emergency. Please phone for the ambulance and inform 6266 1501 of the arriving ambulance.
The doctors and the clinics are the first line of defence against COVID-19 and they are trained to determine "suspect cases". Doctors will be able to make the judgment. If an employee is confirmed to have COVID-19, please inform the building management immediately via our 24 hour hotline 6266 1501. We will respond with the necessary precautionary measures and communications. You will also be required by NEA to perform disinfection to your premises. For disinfection services, you may contact the following vendors for their services:
  • ISS Facility Services Pte Ltd – (Ivan: 9007 0978)
  • Cleaning Express Pte Ltd – (Alex: 8569 3403)
Alternatively, NEA has also put up a list of companies which provide similar services: Separately, you may like to also refer to the Environmental Cleaning Guidelines by NEA here: https://www.nea.gov.sg/our-services/public-cleanliness/environmental-cleaning-guidelines Additionally, please also refer to points 17-22 of this updated set of requirements (as of 29 May) https://www.mom.gov.sg/covid-19/requirements-for-safe-management-measures

I have an exisiting visitor management system which tracks the same information as SafeEntry, why do we still need to use SafeEntry?

The use of SafeEntry is mandatory because a common system used by all establishments would allow data to be made available to MOH quickly, so as to facilitate contact tracing. SafeEntry allows information of visitors and employees who may have come into contact with COVID-19 cases to be sent to the authorities automatically. Contact data collected by SafeEntry is only used by authorised personnel for contact tracing purposes, and stringent measures are in place to safeguard the data in accordance with the Government’s data security standards.

How strict is the check-in / check-out process?

Based on MOM's advice, please refer to the following:

  • When to check-in and check-out: Whenever the pax (employee or visitor) enter or leave the business premise.
  • Check-in: Only check-in for SafeEntry needs to be enforced.
  • Check-out: If you have yet to check out of a location, simply tap on the ‘Check out’ button next to the location indicated on the SingPass Mobile homepage. Locations that have not been checked out of for a prolonged duration will be cleared automatically.
  • Leaving of premises for lunch: Required whenever the pax enter or leave the business premise.
  • Leaving the desk for toilet: If the toilet is still within the business location (do not need to exit pass any check-out zone), then there is no need to check-in and out
