Suntec City's Blood Donation Drive is Back!

We're thrilled to kick off our second Blood Donation Drive of the year. Thank you for your generosity and for joining this life-saving cause. Together, we can give hope, heal and save lives. 

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTE! 🚨

If you have traveled and stayed overnight in any of the following locations, you will be ineligible to donate for a certain period:

Chagas Disease

Within the past one (1) month: ​​

  • Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Argentina
     

  • Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela.

Mpox (Monkey Pox)​​

  • If you had been to Africa and stayed overnight in a malaria endemic area, you can donate 4 months after the date of return.
     

  • If you have visited a non-malaria endemic area in Africa like Lesotho, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mozambique, Reunion, Seychelles and the cities of Asmara (Eritrea), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). Antananarivo (Madagascar), Cape Town (Western Cape South Africa) and Johannesburg (Gauteng South Africa), you can donate 21 days after the date of return to Singapore.

Malaria Risk

 

Within the past four (4) months: ​​

  • Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Nepal, or India
     

  • Vietnam (Only urban areas are eligible for blood donation, as malaria risk is present in rural areas)
     

  • Indonesia (Batam, Bintan)
     

  • Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak, Kelantan, Terengganu).

West Nile Virus

Within the past one (1) month: ​​

​​

  • Canada, France, Russia Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, United States.

  • Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy including Holy See (Vatican City), Kosovo, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Tunisia.

Preparation Tips

​​

  • Eat a light meal and drink plenty of water before your donation. Avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol.
     

  • Ensure you get adequate rest the night before and avoid strenuous activities on the day of donation.
     

  • Try to have an iron-rich diet (dark green leafy vegetables, red meat, seafood with shells (shellfish), beans) to help boost iron levels. 

What To Bring

  • Official photo identification document (passport, IC, driver's license, work pass, Singpass) with a local residential address. 
     

  • Signed Parental Consent form (if you are 16 or 17 years old).
     

  • For blood donations in Singapore, you are required to provide your residential address details (valid for 3 months from your intended donation date) for registration and a contact number by which we can contact you in case of an emergency or if clarification is needed.

How to get to Suntec Convention, Level 3 Nicoll 1? 

From Suntec City Mall: 

Take the escalator from Level 2 of Suntec City (beside Penang Place #02-314) to Level 3.  You will arrive in front of Suntec Convention, Nicoll 1.
